In 2013 Jason Windows launched a partnership with Manna Inc where we donate funds to sponsor their school breakfast program at Brookman Primary School in Langford.
Manna Inc is a volunteer charity that helps feed, clothe and support West Australians in need. Bev and John Lowe started out with the simple act of feeding a few homeless people in the park in 1996. Today Manna has grown to be one of the largest providers of meals for disadvantaged people in Perth.
Manna provides full meals six days a week to over 200 people each day. They also run a School Breakfast Program across 16 schools which started in 2001; School Winter Uniform Program; School Cooking Facility which started with Maddington Primary School in 2010; Special functions for Seniors which provides Christmas Lunch to over 130 Seniors, and they deliver numerous food parcels each year.
A different group of six volunteers from Jason Windows go to Brookman Primary School each Tuesday and Thursday to setup and serve breakfast to children at the school. Our support with the breakfast program enables the school to run the program five days per week, and feed approximately 70 students per day, who may otherwise start their school day feeling hungry and distracted from learning.
“Homeless for a Night” is a unique fundraising event where you, your family, friends and your work colleagues can get involved by “sleeping out” to experience what it may be like to be homeless. By attending this event, and fundraising if you wish to, you will be making a huge difference to the lives of others who are less fortunate.
Jason Windows has proudly raised over $35,000 for this event.
