Features
Create Your Own Look With Window Couplers
Combine and neatly align your windows with a window-to-window or window-to-door configuration to create your own unique look. Choose from:
- 180-degree straight coupler
- 135-degree bay coupler
- 90-degree corner coupler
Stylish and Secure
The chain-operated key lock winder can be locked in an open position. It operates the awning window independently, without the need to open the flyscreen. To limit corrosion, a stainless steel chain is supplied as standard.
Colonial Bars
Jason Awning Windows can be fitted with 20mm wide horizontal and vertical colonial bars. Create the popular Hamptons look, or form a pattern of your choice to enhance the appearance and style of your windows.
Energy Efficient
The dual seal design minimises air leakage and produces an excellent air conditioning rating, ensuring maximum efficiency when heating and cooling the home.
To improve energy efficiency further, consider Jason Double Glazing or Low-E energy efficient glass to help reduce the transfer of heat or cold through the glass.
Built to Last
Our sturdy frame design offers a minimum frame width of 76mm to provide sturdiness and strength. Suitable for both double-brick and framed construction.
Weatherproof
A continuous hinge integrated into the top of the awning window enables it to shut neatly and tightly. The close-fitting weatherproof seal fits right around the frame, keeping out draft, dust and rain.

Glazing Options
The role glass plays in the ongoing performance and comfort of a home is often overlooked when building or renovating. Glass has a significant impact on the comfort levels, natural light and security of your home. Your home’s orientation and your family’s needs should be considered when selecting the right glass solution for you.
Annealed glass is supplied as standard in all Jason Awning Windows. Upgrade options include:
Toughened (Safety Glass)
- Suits areas where windows require structural strength and safety, such as large feature windows and raked ceiling windows
- Suits areas most prone to injury from human impact such as bathrooms, kitchen splashbacks, doors and full-length windows
Laminated (Safety Glass)
- Suits areas requiring special performance such as sound reduction, energy efficiency and additional security Â
- Suits areas most prone to injury from human impact such as bathrooms, kitchen splashbacks, doors and full-length windowsÂ
Toned (Tinted Glass)
- Useful for reducing the sun’s impact on unshaded windows
Low-E
- Suits areas where greater solar and thermal control is required.
- Helpful in improving a home’s Energy Efficiency Rating, and is a cost-effective alternative to double glazing.
Double Glazing
- For areas where more control of heat gain and loss through the glass is required

Flyscreens
All Jason Awning Windows are designed to accept a standard flyscreen covering the opening and preventing the intrusion of unwanted insects. The screens are fitted with fibreglass mesh as standard with the following upgrade options available:
Aluminium Mesh
- More durable than fibreglass mesh
- Suitable for bushfire rated zones, complies with AS3959 up to BAL29
Steel Mesh
- Stronger than aluminium mesh
- Good corrosion resistance
- Suitable for bushfire rated zones, compiles with AS3959 up to BAL29
Migi Mesh
- Superfine to keep out tiny insects
- Recommended for homes near waterways
Security Screens
Flyscreens are perfect for keeping insects such as flies, wasps, sandflies, mosquitoes, midges and spiders on the outside – but flyscreens alone are not designed to keep children and pets contained inside!
If security for children and pets is a concern, we recommend you upgrade to Jason Security Screens. Security screens provide enhanced security, prevent damage by pets, and will help keep your loved ones on the safe side.
Window Restrictors
In 2013 the Australian Building Code ruled that some upper-level windows require opening restrictors to prevent the window being opened more than 125mm. Similarly, windows leading to pools or waterways are required to be fixed in such a way that the window is not capable of opening more than 100mm.
These opening restrictions are in place to protect children’s safety, but what if you want more fresh air in your home without compromising safety?

BAL Ratings
The BAL assesses a home’s risk level of a potential ember attack, radiant heat, and direct flame contact.
The BALÂ (Bushfire Attack Level)Â is a rating system that states the construction requirements under the Australian Standard AS3959-2009 to improve the protection of your home from a potential bushfire attack. Your builder will advise if your home is subject to a BAL rating. A Jason Windows product specialist can assist you with your BAL rating and your window, door, and screen requirements to ensure your home meets the code.
