Jason Bi-Fold Doors – often referred to as folding doors or concertina doors – offer an elegant designer option along with the flexibility to open up confined areas and improve the functionality of your living areas.
Letting in an abundance of natural light and ventilation, they offer easy access to the garden, alfresco, patio or outdoor entertainment area. Choose from three to eight panels for the perfect fit.

Features
Stylish and Secure
Bi-fold doors are keyed both internally and externally, with concealed flush bolts that unobtrusively secure the door panels at the top and bottom of the frame.
Satin chrome handles are supplied as standard, and your door system can be configured with a four-point lock at time of order.
Configurations
All Jason Windows Benchmark Bi-Fold Doors open out. Commercial Frames can be configured to hinge outwards or inwards but must be specified on your house plans or at Pre-Start. Refer to the Framing Options tab for a comparison.
Configurations range from three to eight panels, for an opening up to six metres wide.
Other options include:
- Recessed door sill to provide a seamless transition between your indoor and outdoor living spaces
- Corner opening with column or column-less option
- Black handle option
- Pair your bi-fold doors with Jason Bi-Fold Windows to create the ultimate entertainer package
Couplers
Looking for a unique look? A coupler allows you to combine and neatly align a window to your door. Choose from:
- 180-degree straight coupler
- 135-degree bay coupler
- 90-degree corner coupler
All couplers accept a 60mm (OD) steel column

Framing Options
Jason Bi-Fold Doors are available in two different framing systems.
Benchmark
Characterised by a slim vertical door stile with a maximum height of 2400mm.
Best for:
- Single glazing up to 10mm thickness
- Suits up to and including BAL29
- Open Out option only available
Price guide: Mid-range
Commercial
A custom framing system with a maximum height of 3000mm and a wide outer frame designed to suit heavier glass types such as double glazing.
Best for:
- Single glazing up to 15mm thickness
- Double glazing
- Suits up to and including BAL40
- Open Out or Open In options available, must be specified on plans or at Pre Start

Glazing Options
The role glass plays in the ongoing performance and comfort of a home is often overlooked when building or renovating. Glass has a significant impact on the comfort levels, natural light, and security of your home. Your home’s orientation and your family’s needs should be considered when selecting the right glass solution for you.
Toughened safety glass is supplied as standard in all Jason Bi-Fold Doors. Upgrade options include:
Laminated (Safety Glass)
- Suits areas requiring special performance such as sound reduction, energy efficiency and additional security Â
- Suits areas most prone to injury from human impact such as bathrooms, kitchen splashbacks and full-length windowsÂ
Low-E
- Suits areas where greater solar and thermal control is required.
- Helpful in improving a home’s Energy Efficiency Rating and is a cost-effective alternative to double glazing.
Double Glazing
- Areas where more control of heat gain and loss through the glass is required
Inspiration
Screens
Flyscreens and security screens cannot be fitted to Jason Bi-Fold Doors.

BAL Ratings
The BAL assesses a home’s risk level of a potential ember attack, radiant heat, and direct flame contact.
The BAL (Bushfire Attack Level) is a rating system that states the construction requirements under the Australian Standard AS3959-2009 to improve the protection of your home from a potential bushfire attack. Your builder will advise if your home is subject to a BAL rating. A Jason Windows product specialist can assist you with your BAL rating and your window, door and screen requirements to ensure your home meets the code.
