A flyscreen covers the opening of your window and prevents the intrusion of unwanted insects like flies, mossies, midges and spiders. All Jason Windows framing systems are designed to suit a standard Jason flyscreen. Flyscreens are fitted with fibreglass mesh as standard, with the following upgrade options available:

Flyscreen Frames

Jason’s flyscreens for windows come with a unique retention clip system that enables the flyscreens to be easily removed for cleaning and re-meshing.

Sliding Servery Flyscreen Option

A practical addition to your outdoor entertainment area, the sliding servery flyscreen is designed to suit the Jason Sliding Window range and is a cost-effective alternative to the Jason Bi-Fold Servery Window or the Jason Gas Strut Servery Window. You can view the sliding servery flyscreen at:

Fibreglass Fly Mesh

Fibreglass fly mesh is included as standard with all Jason flyscreen doors and flyscreens for windows. Fibreglass fly mesh will help to prevent most unwanted insects entering your home and offers excellent airflow and visibility.

Aluminium Fly Mesh

The aluminium fly mesh upgrade option is more durable than fibreglass fly mesh. Suitable for bushfire rated zones, complying with AS3959 up to BAL29.

Steel Fly Mesh

The steel fly mesh upgrade option is more durable than aluminium fly mesh and offers good corrosion resistance. Suitable for bushfire rated zones, complying with AS3959 up to BAL29.

Migi Fly Mesh

The migi fly mesh upgrade option is specifically designed to help prevent smaller insects such as midges from entering the home. Migi mesh is recommended for homes near waterways.

Security Screens

Flyscreens are perfect for keeping insects such as flies, wasps, sandflies, mosquitoes, midges and spiders on the outside – but flyscreens alone are not designed to keep children and pets contained inside.
If security for children and pets is a concern, we recommend you upgrade to Jason Security Screens at pre-start. Security screens provide enhanced security, prevent damage by pets, and will help keep your loved ones on the safe side.

Flyscreen Remeshing Service

Over time, flyscreens need remeshing due to wear and tear from everyday use. To ensure a nice tight fit to your existing frames, make sure you get it done by the experts.

Jason Windows offers a flyscreen remeshing service at our Welshpool manufacturing facility.

Window Restrictors

In 2013 the Australian Building Code ruled that some upper-level windows require opening restrictors to prevent the window being opened more than 125mm. Similarly, windows leading to pools or waterways are required to be fixed in such a way that the window is not capable of opening more than 100mm.

These opening restrictions are in place to protect children’s safety, but what if you want more fresh air in your home without compromising safety?
