Features

Seamless Fit

Designed to specifically suit Jason window frames, without the need for modification. Upgrade your flyscreens to security screens during your pre-start consultation.

Jason Security Screens seamlessly fitted to a Jason Awning Window, with the winder easily still accessible.

Unique Water Drainage System

Some security screens can block your windows drainage system, causing water to build up and overflow into your home. Our range of security screens have a unique water drainage system that allows the water to drain outside. The system also allows for sand and dust to be easily washed away with water.

Drainage system on Jason Security Screens ensures water doesn't get trapped between the window and the security screen.

Protection for your Family

Choose from our premium 316 marine grade stainless steel woven mesh or our perforated aluminium range. Both are tested to Australian standards.

Mesh Options

Available in premium marine grade 316 stainless steel mesh or marine grade perforated aluminium to suit the Jason range of:

316 Stainless Steel Mesh

Our premium security screens are made from 316 marine grade stainless steel woven mesh for ultimate security. The woven mesh is retained in the frame using PVC co-extrusion. This makes our screens resistant to UV offering the highest level of corrosion resistance available.

Choose our 316 stainless steel option if:

  • You live close to the ocean and have corrosion concerns
  • Security is your main priority
  • You want to be able to see the kids playing in the garden
  • You live in a BAL rated fire zone (BAL40)
  • You don’t want to see screws and rivets on the outside of your screens

Perforated Aluminium

Our range of perforated security screens are constructed from a single sheet of tempered marine grade perforated aluminium. They are retained in the frame using a unique bonding process for extra strength.

Choose our perforated aluminium option if:

  • Security is your main priority
  • Keeping your pets on the safe side is your main goal
  • You’re on a budget
  • You live in a BAL rated fire zone (BAL29)

Window Restrictors

In 2013 the Australian Building Code ruled that some upper-level windows require opening restrictors to prevent the window being opened more than 125mm. Similarly, windows leading to pools or waterways are required to be fixed in such a way that the window is not capable of opening more than 100mm.

These opening restrictions are in place to protect children’s safety, but what if you want more fresh air in your home without compromising safety?

There is a solution…

With Jason Windows, you can get security screens that meet the safety requirements for pools and falls—and they’re designed to fit your existing Jason frames seamlessly! Ensure you ask for Jason security windows during pre-start.

BAL Ratings

The BAL assesses a home’s risk level of a potential ember attack, radiant heat, and direct flame contact.

The BAL (Bushfire Attack Level)  is a rating system that states the construction requirements under the Australian Standard AS3959-2009 to improve the protection of your home from a potential bushfire attack. Your builder will advise if your home is subject to a BAL rating. A Jason Windows product specialist can assist you with your BAL rating and your window, door and screen requirements to ensure your home meets the code.
