Window and door hardware are moving parts so require regular maintenance so they can function correctly. Maintaining your hardware with care is very simple and will prevent any serious issues in the future.
Things to note:
- Locks, catches and rollers should be kept free of any materials that may affect their function, especially pet hair.
- The internal workings of locks, handles and catches should be maintained by applying a light spray of lubricant when necessary into the areas of any moving parts. Ensure the lubricant doesn’t come into contact with the finished hardware surface. Jason Windows service team use and recommend silicon spray.
- Ensure the external finish of all hardware is kept clean by removing any harmful residue, such as salt spray.
